Welcome to the Marine Discovery Centre Bondi Beach, Australia

The Marine Discovery Centre Bondi Beach Inc. is a non-profit environmental charity dedicated to the conservation of our precious marine and coastal environment.

We are currently finalising the construction and fit-out of the first major custom-built visitor attraction for Bondi Beach – the “Underwater Bondi Experience”, due to open to the public in September. The Experience is a unique combination of real and virtual elements taking visitors on a 30-minute ‘virtual dive’ around Bondi Bay. It includes a virtual Immersion Show; the world’s first walk-in physical re-creation of a dive site; and a 20 minute big screen movie of an underwater tour around Bondi Bay, shot from a fish's-eye-view perspective. There is a surprise at the end of the Experience, which will help conserve the real-life underwater wonders of Bondi and beyond – a great outcome from a fun experience.

The Marine Discovery Centre also runs Primary School rockpool excursions. Over the last 6 years of operation we have directly introduced over 15,000 students to the amazing marine life of Bondi.
